Karachi: The fact-finding committee submitted its investigation report to the caretaker chief minister of Sindh on the issue of decrease in the passing percentage of children in the first year 2023 examination of the inter board.
According to the Sindh Chief Minister’s Spokesperson, the head of the fact-finding committee, NED VC Dr. Sarosh Lodhi, presented the report, after which the Sindh Chief Minister approved the recommendations of the committee.
On the recommendation of the committee, the Chief Minister of Sindh has been instructed to immediately remove Muhammad Shaheer Waqar from the IT sector. The committee has recommended that 15% additional marks be given to pre-engineering, pre-medical and general science students. 15 marks will be given in mathematics, 12 marks in physics and statistics. 12 in Chemistry, 6 in Botany and 6 in Zoology will be given extra to the children.

The committee has recommended to prepare the pattern of examination papers and their mark scheme before the commencement of the academic year.
Caretaker Chief Minister Sindh has said that the paper pattern and marking scheme will remain in force for at least 3 years. On the recommendation of the committee, the Sindh Chief Minister has directed to increase the number of paper examination centers to 10. He directed to check the MCQs paper with OMR system so that there is no mistake in it.
The Caretaker Chief Minister has directed that training should be given to all the employees related to the examinations including Head Examiners, Examiners, Invigilators. The rules and regulations of the Board of Intermediate Education should be strictly enforced. According to the committee, the Controller of Examinations, all Deputy Controllers and the IT Manager are responsible for conducting the examinations 2023.
Chief Minister Sindh directed to issue notices expressing anger against the board officers who did not follow the rules and regulations.
