Peshawar: The High Court has clubbed the writ petition of Afghan transgenders with the Afghan singer case while ordering not to harass Afghan transgenders.
Justice Shakeel Ahmed and Justice Waqar Ahmed heard the petition filed against the repatriation of 16 Afghan transgender women.
The petitioner’s lawyer said that the petitioners should not be forcibly deported, the government has decided that all foreigners will be sent back to the country, but the lives of transgenders in Afghanistan are in danger, so they should not be forcibly returned. should be sent while the registered Afghan refugees are also being harassed, which is bringing disrepute to the country. Applicants are being harassed even in spite of POR card and other documents.
The court inquired whether these foreigners are registered with NADRA. Foreigners do not have the same rights as citizens of the country. If foreigners have a visa and it has not expired then they can stay in Pakistan.
