Peshawar: The High Court dismissed the disqualification petition against Imran Khan.
Justice Shakeel Ahmed and Justice Waqar Ahmed heard the disqualification case against Founder Chairman PTI Imran Khan on behalf of Awami National Party’s Amil Wali.
It was argued by the petitioner in the court that the founder chairman PTI had won from 7 constituencies in the by-elections. He made false statements in assets and nomination papers and did not mention Tosha Khana gifts in the papers. Founder Chairman PTI should be disqualified from the said constituencies for not declaring assets.
The lawyer pleaded with the court that the assembly was no longer a member and the founder chairman was no longer a member, so the case was no longer admissible. The court should only write in the order that this case can be filed in the future.
Later, the Peshawar High Court dismissed Emil Wali’s plea as ineffective and disposed of the case.
