Lahore: The bail of former Punjab Chief Minister Pervez Elahi was approved in the case related to illegal recruitment.
The Lahore High Court granted bail against PTI Central President and former Punjab Chief Minister Pervez Elahi in the Punjab Assembly Principal Secretary recruitment case and ordered Pervez Elahi to deposit a bond of one lakh rupees.
During the hearing, advocate Aamir Saeed Raan and Farman appeared on behalf of Pervaiz Elahi and stated in arguments related to the case that the Judicial Magistrate discharged Muhammad Khan Bhatti. The notification of the Principal Secretary was issued before Pervez Elahi became the Chief Minister.
It was argued in the petition that the notification of the Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister was issued by the Chief Secretary Punjab. The Chief Secretary has not been made a party in this case. This case has been established on political grounds. The court should approve Parvez Elahi’s bail and order his release.
