Lahore: The first nominated woman Chief Minister of Punjab and senior vice president of Pakistan Muslim League (N) has started considering various names for the formation of the cabinet in the province.

According to Express News, provincial ministers are likely to be taken from various divisions and districts of Punjab in the provincial cabinet and the nominated chief minister is considering forming a cabinet of 25 to 30 members in the first phase.

Muslim League (N) sources said that the names of Maryam Aurangzeb and Malik Ahmad Khan were consulted among the provincial ministers, besides the names of Rana Iqbal, Khwaja Salman Rafiq and Khwaja Imran Nazir were considered.

The names of Faisal Khokhar, Yawar Zaman, Bilal Yasin, Mujtaba Shujaur Rehman, Zakia Shahnawaz, Uzma Bukhari, Hina Parvez Butt are also being considered by the Chief Minister-designate for his cabinet.

Muslim League (N) dynamic leaders Rana Mashhood and Pir Ashraf Rasool are likely to be made advisers or special assistants.

The final approval of the names of the provincial cabinet of Punjab will be given by the leader of the Muslim League (N) Nawaz Sharif and the party president Shehbaz Sharif.

It should be noted that Secretary Information of Muslim League (N) Maryam Aurangzeb announced yesterday that Nawaz Sharif has approved to make Maryam Nawaz the Chief Minister of Punjab. It was announced in the press conference after the political meeting.

In the recent general elections, the Muslim League (N) won the maximum number of 131 seats in the Punjab Assembly, but after that several independent candidates also joined, increasing the total number required to form the government to 149. has been completed while this number will increase further with reserved seats.

The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf has the second largest number of independent members in the Punjab Assembly, followed by the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and the Muslim League (Q), with 10 and 8 members respectively.
