Security arrangements for Pakistan Super League (PSL) season 9 have been finalized.
DIG Operations Lahore Ali Nasir Rizvi said that 17 thousand 176 police personnel will perform duty in 3 districts. 6 thousand 936 personnel will be posted in Lahore, 5700 in Multan and 4538 in Rawalpindi.
He also informed that 3 companies of Pakistan Army will also be engaged in the security of PSL-9.
According to DIG Operations, additional personnel will be called for traffic flow in the three districts.
He said that the teams participating in the PSL will be given the status of state guests, the movement of the teams and the installation of jammers during the matches will also be done.
Ali Nasir Rizvi said that aerial surveillance of PSL routes will be done by helicopters. There will be 24-hour monitoring of the event with Safe Cities cameras.
He said that additional cameras will be installed in the cricket teams’ routes and stadiums. Mobile command vans, Peruvian vehicles will also be activated with cameras.
According to DIG Operations, 20 Dolphin and 20 Elite Force teams will patrol the routes.
