Lahore High Court directs petitioners to refer to Election Commission
The Lahore High Court rejected the petitions against the success of several candidates including Nawaz Sharif, Hamza Shehbaz and directed the petitioners to approach the Election Commission.
A hearing was held in the High Court on the application of the candidate Saleem Sadiq for counting the votes of PP 191. The court disposed of the application by directing Saleem Sadiq to approach the Election Commission.
A hearing was held in the High Court on the petition of Ishtiaq Chaudhry, a candidate from NA-130, against the success of Nawaz Sharif. The court directed the petitioner to approach the Returning Officer RO.
The High Court also dismissed the petition against Hamza Shehbaz’s victory in the Provincial Assembly seat and directed the petitioner Muhammad Khan Madani to approach the Election Commission.
Justice Ali Baqir Najafi heard the petition filed by candidate Rashida Tariq for recount in constituency NA-77. The court dismissed the petition and directed to approach the Election Commission.
The court declared that the first forum for all election matters is the Election Commission, the petitioner should approach the Election Commission.
