No accused will be arrested from the premises of High Court, Session Court and Judicial Complex, Islamabad High Court.
Arresting any accused from the premises of Islamabad High Court and Subordinate Court was prohibited. The Supreme Court directed the IG Islamabad to prepare SOPs related to the arrest within two days.
In the case related to the arrest of the female accused from the premises of the Islamabad High Court, Justice Arbab Muhammad Tahir issued a major order according to which the arrest of any accused from the premises of the Islamabad High Court and the subordinate court was prohibited.
The court ordered that no accused will be arrested from the premises of High Court, Sessions Court and Judicial Complex. The court has ordered to meet with the IG Islamabad and make their own SOP.
The court directed the SSP investigation to prepare an SOP.
SSP Investigation said that he is ashamed of the arrest made by the official from the premises of the High Court.
Police said the concerned ASI has been suspended and further investigations are being conducted.
The court remarked that the purpose of hurting you was to tell that arrests have started from the court premises. She was a woman and as soon as she went out of that court she was arrested. We asked if there is any other case, we were told that there is no case, we went out, then we were arrested, have a meeting with the IG and fix the SOPs, we give two days’ time to inform the High Court with instructions.
The court adjourned further hearing of the case till Thursday.
