Lahore: City Traffic Officer Lahore has issued instructions not to challan any citizen’s identity card till February 8 in view of general elections.
According to the details, City Traffic Police Officer Amara Athar has issued orders not to challan any citizen’s identity card till February 8 to give relief to the citizens who cast their votes.
He said that no citizen will be challaned on the identity card till February 8, the citizens can collect the identity card from the concerned traffic sector by paying the fine from 07:00 am to 11:00 pm.
Amara Athar said that in case of challan, citizens can submit registration book and license as collateral, digital challan system allows citizens to submit challan immediately and get the documents back.
He made it clear that action on violations of traffic rules will continue as usual. The CTO further informed that if the challan is not submitted within 10 days, the documents are submitted to the concerned district court, after which the documents are given to the citizen after completing the court proceedings.
