Rawalpindi: The first case under the Election Act was registered against the activists of former Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar’s group on the request of the campaign worker of Pakistan Muslim League (N) candidates NA-53 and PP-10.
The first case under the Election Act has been registered against Muslim League (N) activist Tanveer Hussain in Rawalpindi police station Chakri, in which he said that he is a resident of Crore and the union of Muslim League (N) candidates. I am conducting election in Council Padyal.
Tanveer Hussain took the stand that the opponents, former Naib Nazim and others, belong to the Chaudhry Nisar group, which threatens the election campaigns of Muslim League (N) candidates.
It has been said in the case that I was present at home when the opponents came to the house and subjected me to violence, inciting me to kill more so that it would not launch a campaign against the Muslim League (N) in the Union Council and the gathering of the people of the neighborhood and the family. After that, the accused took away the materials of Muslim League (N) collected for the election campaign from the house, banners etc. and also a gas cylinder.
The worker of Muslim League (N) said that there is personal and political opposition from the opponents who threaten every day, so legal action should be taken to export my goods.
Chakri Police has registered a case under Section 171/1/C of the Election Act for threats, theft and other provisions.
