Dera Ismail Khan: 10 police personnel were martyred as a result of terrorist attack on Chaudhwan police station.
According to Express News, the police officers stationed at the Chaudhwan police station in Dera Ismail Khan were targeted by snipers late at night, the terrorists entered the police station and used hand grenades, the terrorists also opened fire on the police officers. That 10 police officers were martyred and 6 were injured in the firing.
As soon as the tragic incident was reported, a heavy police line was dispatched from the police dera. Later, a search operation has also been started to find the terrorists.
On the other hand, DSP Daraban said that among the martyred personnel, 4 are soldiers of elite force and 6 belong to Dera district, the platoon of elite force Swabi is posted at Chaudhwan police station. IG Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Akhtar Hayat Khan and Chief Secretary Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will reach Dera Ismail Khan after some time.
