Karachi: Rain has started again in different areas of the city, according to the Meteorological Department, light and heavy rain is likely throughout the day.

The Meteorological Department has predicted that there may be light and heavy rain at intervals throughout the day on Sunday as well. According to Chief Meteorologist Sardar Sarfraz, there is a possibility of some light and some moderate rain in the city today.

According to reports, after the heavy rain in the city after 9 pm on Saturday, it started raining again in different areas on Sunday morning. It is raining heavily in Sarjani Town, Gulshan Iqbal, North Karachi, Nagin Chowrangi, Scheme 33, North Nazimabad and other areas.

It should be noted that after the heavy rain in the city yesterday, the entire Karachi was presenting a river scene, due to which the citizens were stuck in a long traffic jam on the roads till late night. Hundreds of vehicles were blocked on the road. The problems of the citizens increased due to the failure of the sewage system and the lack of advance arrangements by the administration and the power cut.

By Sunday morning, water had accumulated in many areas, while rivers have flooded. Rainwater continues to drain from the Korangi Causeway while standing water still accumulates in low-lying areas, stranding citizens.

According to the Meteorological Department, the current temperature in the city is 20 degrees Celsius and the wind is blowing at a speed of 10 km per hour. Day time temperature is likely to be 26 to 28 degrees Celsius. During this time, the wind will blow at a speed of 20 to 25 km per hour.

A young man died due to electrocution

In an incident during heavy rain in the city, a young man died due to electrocution, while two people were injured due to the collapse of the wall.
