Rawalpindi: The police recovered a huge consignment of arms from the suspect vehicle and arrested 2 persons.
Police stopped and checked the suspect vehicle in the Westridge area and found a huge cache of weapons, including 35 pistols and thousands of bullets. The police arrested the accused arms smugglers, identified as Bahadur Khan and Rashid Khan.
The police have arrested the accused and registered separate cases. On the other hand, the police officials congratulated the officials for the successful operation on the recovery of a large number of weapons and said that effective crackdown against illegal weapons and drugs is ongoing. Persons displaying weapons or firing in the air will not escape the law.
