Peshawar: Due to the possibility of heavy rain in many areas of Pakhtunkhwa province today and tomorrow, there is a risk of flooding in the rivers.
According to the Meteorological Department, the weather will be cold in most of the districts of the province and cloudy with severe cold in the upper districts. Due to heavy rains on 02 and 03 February, there is a risk of flooding in local rivers.
The forecast states that Chitral, Dir, Swat, Kohistan, Shangla, Malakund, Abbottabad, Balakot, DI Khan, Bannu, Kurram, Waziristan, Tank, Khyber, Bajaur and Mansehra with strong winds and thundershowers. There is a possibility of rain.
Apart from this, instructions have been issued to the tourists to be careful in view of the possibility of snowfall on the mountains in the upper areas and the fear of landslides and closure of communication roads. In this regard, PDMA has directed all district administrations to be alert.
According to the Meteorological Department, the minimum temperature has been recorded at 5 degrees Celsius while the maximum temperature is expected to rise to 12 degrees Celsius. The humidity in the air was recorded as high as 79%. The highest rainfall was recorded in Balakot 19, Kakul 16, Charat 12, Dir (Upper 10, Lower 04), Patan 08, Malam Jabba, Kalam 04, Mir Khani 03, Saidu Sharif, Darosh, Chitral. Murree 04, Kalam, Astor 03, Malam Jabba 02 and Chitral recorded 01 inches of snowfall.
