Rawalpindi: The court issued a detailed verdict in the cipher case against Imran Khan and Shah Mehmood Qureshi, in which it has been said that the accused kept playing hide and seek for delay.
The Official Secret Act Court has issued a detailed verdict on the cipher case against former Prime Minister and founding chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf and former foreign minister and vice-chairman PTI Shah Mehmood Qureshi.
A detailed 77-page judgment has been issued by Special Court Judge Abul Hasnat Muhammad Zulqarnain, in which the court has said that the founder PTI did not send the cipher back to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

According to the court decision, the cipher issue affected relations with other countries, which benefited the enemies. During the hearing, the sanitation lawyers appeared unconcerned. A 17-month investigation proved Cypher did not file the case late. In the light of irrefutable evidence, the crime was proved.
According to the verdict, the PTI founder was sentenced to 2 years imprisonment and a fine of Rs. given. Apart from this, the founder of PTI was sentenced to 10 years imprisonment under Section Five 3A.
The court said in its decision that Shah Mehmood Qureshi was also fined. The punishments of founder PTI and Shah Mehmood Qureshi will start together. The evidence presented in court is irrefutable. Imran Khan and Shah Mehmood kept playing hide and seek game to delay the case.
It has been said in the court order that it is painful that Chairman Tehreek-e-Insaf and Shah Mehmood have changed many lawyers. In the high-profile and most sensitive case, the accused were repeatedly given opportunities to come clean. The accused played a game of hide and seek and considered the action a joke.
According to the judgement, both the accused are not entitled to any relief due to their actions to influence the process of interrogation. No one can be allowed to spoil relations with other countries. The cipher remained in the possession of Telegram founder PTI and Shah Mehmood Qureshi. The court ordered PTI founder Shah Mehmood Qureshi 20 years imprisonment with hard labor under various provisions. The court ordered that all the sentences would run concurrently.
The court further wrote in the detailed judgment that Azam Khan warned PTI founder several times but he spoke in cipher on local and foreign media, social media. Azam Khan’s statement was based on truth which strengthened the case of the prosecution.
