Rehan Zeib Khan was the candidate from NA 8 and PK 22 Bajaur, Police
Rehan Zeib Khan, a young leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf and an independent candidate participating in the elections from national and provincial seats, was killed by unknown persons in Bajaur district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
DPO Bajaur Kashif Zulfiqar said that Rehanzeb was present in Siddiqabad Phatak Bazar Main Chowk in connection with the election campaign when unknown persons opened fire on him.
SHO Rashid Khan confirmed the incident and said that Rehan Zeib Khan was contesting the election from NA 8 and PK 22.
Due to the incident, the election on both the seats will be postponed and a formal announcement will be issued by the Returning Officer. According to Section 73 of the Election Act, the election is postponed after the election marks are issued by the death of the candidate.
