Karachi: The system of meeting the families of the prisoners in the Central Jail has been made online.
According to the authorities, the jail system is continuing to be developed on modern lines, in which the system of appearing in the court of prisoners through video link was inaugurated yesterday and now the system of meeting with the prisoners has been made online. Later, the families of the prisoners will be able to meet by making an appointment with the help of the mobile application.
Families of prisoners will be able to visit the jail by making an online appointment. A special mobile application has been developed to introduce the new system in Central Jail Karachi. Visitors coming from far away or public can use this facility due to rush. The person coming for appointment will get the appointment by entering his details through the app.
Assistant Superintendent Jail Misbahuddin says that this program has been prepared with the cooperation of the Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Agency of the United States. Sindh Interior Minister inaugurated the project related to online appointment. 5 booths have also been set up near the main gate of the jail for the guidance and verification of the people coming for the meeting.
Interior Minister Sindh Brigadier (retd) Haris Nawaz said in this regard that this project has been started with the support of INL, for which we are grateful. He said that this project needed to be made long ago. The relatives of the prisoners suffered a lot. Had to wait for 4 to 5 hours.
He said that those coming for the appointment have to take an appointment 2 days before, and they can take the appointment by entering their necessary details. This will reduce the difficulties of visitors visiting the prisoners in the Central Jail. We will extend this project to other jails as well.
