The management of Rawalpindi-based Central Jail Adiala received a threatening call within three days after which the management informed the police and other concerned agencies.
According to the details, the prison administration received a threatening call from an unknown number, in which the unknown caller has threatened to attack in the next three days.
After the jail administration received the call, Rawalpindi police was informed. Officials say that the threatening call was made on the official number of Adiala jail, after which the jail superintendent informed about the threatening phone call.
The senior police officer said that after the threatening call, the security of Central Jail Adiala has been put on red alert, while the security has been increased in the vicinity of the jail, checkpoints have been established at 8 places and 5 sections of the elite force are also on continuous patrolling. .
It should be noted that founder of PTI, former foreign minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi, former ministers Sheikh Rasheed, Fawad Chaudhary and former Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Parvez Elahi are also imprisoned in Central Jail Adiala.
