Lahore: Unknown assailants killed 4 members of a family by shooting at a house in Sadar area of Sheikhupura.
The deceased include two women, an elderly person and a child, who have been identified as Shah Mohammad, Ashraf Bibi, Karan Shahzad and Rauf.
According to DPO Zahid Nawaz Marwat, it is still too early to say about the reasons behind the murder, forensic teams are collecting evidence from the crime scene.
According to initial reports, the Sheikhupura incident took place after the second marriage of the woman, the injured woman had recently married Bisharat for the second time, and the accused shot her because of her grudge.
According to the police, 3 members of the family survived because they were not present in the house, while none of the accused who opened fire could be arrested.
IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar took notice of the incident of murder of 4 persons and ordered the DPO Sheikhupura to investigate every aspect of the incident and arrest the accused. Provision of justice to the relatives should be ensured on a priority basis.
