Mian Azhar was busy in NA-129 election campaign
Lahore: Former Punjab Governor Mian Azhar was taken into custody.
According to police sources, Mian Azhar is the father of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader Hamad Azhar. He was engaged in NA-129 election campaign during which he was detained.
Hamad Azhar tweeted that Mian Azhar’s father was arrested for holding an election rally. On the other hand, the police say that this action was taken in violation of the code of conduct of the Election Commission.
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf has announced a rally in Lahore today. In this regard, Section 144 has been implemented throughout Punjab.
Police and plainclothes personnel have been present outside the houses of PTI candidates since late night.
Founder PTI Imran Khan has instructed all the candidates of National and Provincial Assembly of Lahore to do power show today.
