Lahore: The police took an important decision to arrest the advertisers of the May 9 events during the general elections.
According to the authorities, there will be a crackdown on the presence of advertisers during election campaigns and corner meetings. Meanwhile, the arrest of the promoters of terrorism and serious cases can also be done from within the four walls.
SP Model Town Investigation Shahzad Rafiq said in this regard that the advertising suspects associated with the political party are active in the election campaign. Work on geofencing and video evidence is going on to arrest the elements involved in the incidents of May 9 and 10.
He said that dozens of leaders and activists involved in the Askari Tower attack case and other cases have been arrested. Corner meetings and political rallies are being monitored to track down the accused who have been declared as advertisers.
