Karachi: The Election Commission wrote a letter to cancel the registration of the private school, calling the election of the PPP candidate from NA-248 as a violation of the election code of conduct and rules.
According to the District Monitoring Officer, NA-248 candidate Hasan Khan used his private school for election campaign and sought parental data from children for voting. Besides, he asked the school administration for the data of the students’ relatives for the vote.
According to the spokesperson of Election Commission, People’s Party candidate Hasan Khan had asked the children of class 1 to 10 for data including copies of voter ID cards of 5.5 of their close relatives.
Later, the District Monitoring Officer wrote a letter to the Provincial Election Commissioner to cancel the registration of the private school. It should be noted that Hasan Khan has several branches of private schools in Central District.
