The date of the President’s Trophy final has become a mystery for the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).
Earlier, PCB changed the date of the final of the President’s Trophy due to the players’ participation in the Sindh Premier League and announced that the final would be held from February 6 to 10. If changed again, the preparation of players participating in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) may also be affected.
After the restoration of departmental cricket, the President’s Trophy was organized for the first time, consisting of departmental teams, the five-day final of which was to be played between the teams of Wapda and Sui Nadran on January 27 at the National Stadium, but the players of both teams were unable to play in the Sindh Premier League. which is starting from today in Karachi.
Considering the wishes of the players, the PCB changed the date of the final of the President’s Trophy and announced that the final would be held from February 6 to 10, but due to the general elections being held across the country on February 8, the objection of the teams came again. After which the PCB is considering changing the date of the final again.
Sources say that if the finals are held after the election, the preparations of the teams for the PSL will begin and the players in the franchise teams will be busy playing the finals.
