Peshawar: In an operation by the Anti-Narcotics Force, a huge consignment of highly dangerous narcotic pills was seized.
According to the spokesman, an intelligence-based operation was conducted by the ANF, in which a drug dealer carrying drugs was arrested from Charsada Chowk in Peshawar, on the identification of which a sting operation was conducted against a secret group.
The arrested suspects are involved in the processing and branding of drugs made from methamphetamine. The operation also led to the arrest of another drug supplier, from whom 7,500 psychostimulant pills (PSP) were seized.
During the operation, 300 grams of methamphetamine and more than 1 metric ton of liquid and powder chemicals were also recovered. The arrested suspects were engaged in marketing these new types of pills in important cities across the country. They were especially targeting the youth in educational institutions.
According to the spokesperson, the methamphetamine involved has serious health consequences. ANF’s successful operation has disrupted the supply chain of this new drug called PSP.
