Karachi: A five-member committee has been formed to investigate the attack on the Karachi Police Office, which will identify the facilitators, while the case of the incident was registered at the CTD Civil Lines Police Station on the complaint of the SHO President.
According to Express News, IG Sindh Ghulam Nabi Memon has formed a committee to investigate the attack on Karachi Police Office, which will be headed by DIGCTD Zulfiqar Lark.
Apart from this, DIG South and DIG CIA, SSP Tariq Nawaz and in-charge CTD Umar Khattab are also included in the investigation committee. According to the statement, the committee will identify the facilitators of terrorists.

A case of terrorist attack on Karachi Police Office was registered in Police Station Civil Line CTD on the complaint of SHO Sadar, in which five terrorists of the outlawed Tehreek-e-Taliban were named, including three killed.
In the case, provisions of a serious nature including murder, attempted murder, explosives act have been added. CTD sources say that a case has been registered against three deceased and two other accomplices. Sources say that three terrorists came in a vehicle and were killed in the encounter, but the other two terrorists were on a motorcycle.
On the other hand, Federal Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah has expressed fear that ‘an external hand may also be involved in the attack on the Karachi Police Office, this point will also be considered in the investigation’.

On the other hand, after the terrorist attack in Karachi Police Office, an important meeting was held in his office under the chairmanship of Additional IG Karachi Javed Alam Odhu, in which officers of law enforcement agencies also participated.
The participants of the meeting were informed that weapons, grenades and suicide jackets were recovered from the possession of the terrorists. In the meeting, the footage of the CCTV cameras installed in the Karachi Police Office was also reviewed.
DIG South Irfan Baloch said that the target of the terrorists was Additional IG Karachi Javed Alam Odhu, the terrorists wanted to target Additional IG Karachi Javed Alam Odhu and they also knew about the office of Additional IG Karachi. Terrorists targeted the office of the Additional IG and detonated a suicide bomb outside the office.

On this occasion, strict security arrangements were made for the KPO and personnel of Pakistan Army and Sindh Rangers were deployed outside the office of Additional IG Karachi, while snipers were also deployed on the roof of the office.
It should be noted that the car in which the terrorists came in the KPO attack was in the name of Kamran, a resident of Landhi, who when questioned by the police said that he had sold the car at a showroom a few years ago. tha, on which the investigation team is trying to trace the car showroom. The investigation teams also conducted raids at several places in Sindh, including Karachi, in which no significant success could be achieved.

In the clearance operation, the security forces retaliated and killed three terrorists, two of them were killed in an exchange of fire while one was killed by a suicide vest blast.
According to police officials, the dead terrorists have been identified, one of the terrorists was identified as Zala Noor son of Wazir Hasan who belonged to North Waziristan. The name of the terrorist who blew himself up during the security operation was Kifayatullah son of Mirz Ali Khan and he was a resident of Wanda Ameer area of Lakki Marwat while the identity of the third attacker could not be found.
On the other hand, the Karachi Police Office was severely damaged in the terrorist attack and two-way exchange of fire. The walls of the KPO were gutted while the windows and doors were broken.
