Karachi: The duties of the doctors, nurses and medical and non-medical staff of the government hospitals established in Shahr Quaid have been imposed during the election, due to which there are fears of suspension of medical facilities in the government hospital on the election day.

According to the details, on behalf of the Election Commission of Pakistan, Assistant Director Admin, Assistant Director Accounts, Deputy Director, Pharmacist, Office Superintendent, Medical Officers, Resident Medical Officer (RMO), Nursing of hospitals under Sindh Health Department and Baldia Uzma Karachi. About 300 nurses, 100 doctors and more than 50 people from various departments are being trained as Presiding Officer, Assistant Presiding Officer, Senior Assistant Presiding Officer and Polling Officer of Dr. Rath KM Faw (Civil) Hospital Karachi. Is.

174 people including RMOs, senior registrar, medical officer, computer operator and senior nurse of Abbasi Shaheed Hospital under Baldia Uzma Karachi have been called to perform duties in Kemari district during the election, while in Gharbi district. 574 people of Abbasi Shaheed Hospital have also been called for duty, due to which there may be severe disruption in the treatment of patients due to lack of doctors and medical staff in Abbasi Shaheed Hospital on election day.

Karachi Institute of Heart Diseases (KIHD), the largest hospital under KMC, was already facing problems due to lack of staff, but the ECP Duties of office assistants, lab and OT technicians, clerks, receptionists and nurses have also been posted.

In this regard, KIHD staff are being called to Government Technician College (GCT) near Ghani Khorangi for training.

According to the sources, the hospital system is getting affected in connection with the daily election duty as the hospitals of Karachi are already short of staff due to which the hospital system is being continued very cautiously.

Hospital sources say that the chiefs are suffering due to the training of election duties and as a result the hospital may be unable to provide medical facilities on election day.

Executive Director of Jinnah Hospital Karachi Professor Shahid Rasool said that the election duties of the staff of Jinnah Post Graduate Medical Center (JPMC) have not been imposed while emergency will be imposed in Jinnah Hospital two days before and two days after the election. .
