Aerobic exercise is helpful for people with obesity

A new study has found that regular aerobics or Zumba classes can help overweight and obese people lose weight.

In research published in the journal PLoS One, scientists reported that a review of 10 studies indicated that participants who did aerobics three times a week for four weeks or Those who attended Zumba classes saw a marked reduction in their obesity.

According to research, clear positive effects of such exercise were observed in people under 45 years of age. It also had beneficial effects on size.

In this review, researchers looked at 646 overweight or obese people (114 men and 532 women), aged 21 to 71. Of these people, 321 participated in aerobics, Zumba, or traditional dance. attended the classes while the other participants were part of the control group.

Each class lasted between 40 and 90 minutes, held three to five times a week.

Those in the control group maintained their normal lifestyle, including physical activity such as walking and other forms of exercise.

In the study, both groups were monitored for eight to 12 weeks. While some people were kept under study for a year.

The results of the study showed that those in the dance group lost an average of 1.92 kilograms of weight compared to the control group members.
