Islamabad: Senior politician Daniyal Aziz approached the court for protective bail after differences with the League leadership and news related to the PTI ticket.

In the petition filed in the High Court, Daniyal Aziz’s stand has been taken that an attempt is being made to implicate me in the case filed against unknown persons. Rumors were spread that Daniyal Aziz will participate in the election on the ticket of Tehreek-e-Insaf.

As per the request, despite our denial, our workers are being harassed. It is requested from the Islamabad High Court to grant security and transit bail for appearing in the concerned court.

It should be noted that last month there were reports of differences among the leaders of Muslim League-N, after which a show-cause notice was also issued to Daniyal Aziz by the party and in response to this, Daniyal Aziz’s independent status in the upcoming elections. There were indications of participating or entering the fray with the support of PTI.

Later, while rejecting the party’s show cause notice, Daniyal Aziz said in his 3-page reply that I stand by my statement, there was no violation of party discipline or policy on my part. Despite this, the election candidates were announced by the Muslim League-N, in which Daniyal Aziz was ignored. In this regard, PML-N Secretary General Ahsan Iqbal said that Daniyal Uzair was internally running for the PTI ticket and the leadership did not trust him.

Last week, Shakargarh police and administration stopped the election rally of candidate Daniyal Aziz, who contested as an independent candidate from NA-75 constituency. Due to not getting a ticket from the PML-N, Daniyal Aziz decided to come forward as an independent and this was his first meeting, which was stopped by the police. The administration said that Daniyal Aziz was holding a rally without permission due to which the program has been stopped.
