2 crore 62 lakh children in Pakistan deprived of going to school, report

Islamabad: In the report of the Federal Ministry of Education, it has been revealed that 2.62 million children are deprived of going to school in Pakistan.

The report is based on data for 2021-2022 which will be released tomorrow.

According to the contents of the report, 1 crore 17 lakh 30 thousand children are deprived of education in Punjab while 76 lakh 30 thousand are deprived of education in Sindh, 36 lakh 30 thousand in KP and 31 lakh 30 thousand children are deprived of education. 8 lakh children are not going to school in the federal capital.

The report stated that 39 percent of children are not going to school due to various reasons, while 65 percent of children are out of school in Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has better educational standards than Balochistan. In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 30 percent of children are not going to school.

According to the report of the Federal Ministry of Education, in 2016 and 2017, 44 percent of children were out of school, while in 2021 and 2022, 39 percent of children are out of school.

At the intermediate level, 60 percent of the children are deprived of education, while at the matric, middle and primary levels, 44 percent, 30 percent and 36 percent of the children are not going to school.
