Peshawar: The Peshawar High Court has declared during the hearing of the case that if the accused is arrested in one case, he will be considered arrested in other cases as well.
In the case of former speaker Asad Qaiser and other ex-members of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf, the Peshawar High Court gave a safe verdict, in which the court declared that if the accused is arrested in one case, he will be considered arrested in the remaining cases as well.
The court said that the written judgment will be issued sometime later.
A two-member bench comprising Chief Justice Peshawar High Court Muhammad Ibrahim Khan and Justice Ishtiaq Ibrahim reserved its decision on the petitions after hearing the arguments of the parties on December 19. The court had appointed Shabir Hussain Gaggiani and Barrister Amirullah Chamkani for judicial assistance in the case, while Advocate General and counsel for the petitioners, Syed Sikandar Hayat Shah, also presented their arguments during the hearing.
