Karachi: The Special Anti-Terrorism Court sentenced the YouTube channel owner and reporter to 5.5 years in prison in the case of blackmailing the owner of the clinic and extorting money.
The Special Anti-Terrorism Court in Karachi passed judgment against the YouTube channel owner and the reporter in the case of blackmailing the owner of the clinic and recovery of money. The prosecution was able to prove the crime.
The court sentenced YouTube channel owner Muzamil Aslam Monga and reporter Waseem Abbas Hashmi to 5.5 years imprisonment. The court also imposed a fine of Rs 10,000 on both the accused.
The court took both the accused in custody and sent them to jail. Arif Solangi, the owner of the clinic, had registered a case against the accused in Aziz Bhatti police station.
According to the plaintiff’s case, on January 15, 2022, reporter Waseem Abbas Hashmi came to my clinic with his cameraman. Videotaped my clinic and threatened for a deal. The accused gave their mobile number and demanded Rs 3 lakh.
According to the plaintiff, he went to the accused’s office and gave one and a half lakh rupees and the accused also received the money through Easy Paisa.
