Islamabad / Peshawar: Visa has also been made mandatory for drivers of commercial vehicles to enter Pakistan from Pak-Afghan border at Torkham.
After the announcement by the government of Pakistan, the movement of passengers and commercial convoys is allowed through passport and visa. In this regard, special measures are being taken for legal two-way traffic at the Torkham border.
Officials of the two countries at the Torkham border held a meeting in the past few days on travel documents for legal transit and agreed that passports and visas should be required for transit from both countries.
These important measures are aimed at stabilizing trade legally, improving security and preventing smuggling. Traders and truck drivers welcomed the move after both countries announced the legal documents.

Customs Inspector Alam Zeb said that the visa implementation system is in place all over the world according to the law, here the visa system benefits both the businessmen and the public alike. In-charge FIA Inamul Haq said that the new visa policy of the government of Pakistan will make it easier to keep a record of those coming and going from the border.
