Karachi: The Counter-Terrorism (CTD) Department of the Police Department has started action against the officers and personnel involved in the kidnapping of citizens, extortion of ransom and robberies under the guise of raids.
According to the details, CTD has started the elimination of officers and officials after the completion of the investigation, 8 officials including 2 inspectors involved in short-term kidnapping and robbery under the guise of raids have been dismissed and five officials have been suspended.
DIG Asif Ijaz Sheikh issued the dismissal order of CTD officers and personnel. In which it is said that the said officers and officials were involved in short-term kidnapping and illegal raids on call centers.
