Khyber / Peshawar: Torkham border crossing remained closed for two-way trade for the second day today due to which hundreds of goods vehicles were stuck on both sides of the crossing.
According to customs sources, travel documents are a requirement for drivers of cargo vehicles.
Yesterday, security officials stopped vehicles entering Afghanistan without travel documents, while Afghan forces also sent back cargo vehicles entering Pakistan.
The travel documents for the drivers were decided by the federal government last year, the implementation of which started yesterday.
Foot traffic through the border crossing continues as usual.
