San Diego: A new study suggests that bacteria on women’s faces can make wrinkles worse.

Ultraviolet light and the aging process were thought to be the main factors behind the loss of elasticity in the skin, but now a new study suggests that bacteria may also play a role.

The University of California San Diego reviewed 13 studies in research with a private cosmetics company. The studies examined the skin condition of 650 women between the ages of 18 and 70.

Each study looked at something specific, including crow’s feet (wrinkles around the eyes), wrinkles or loss of moisture. But this new study looked at all studies to see if the different types of bacteria on our faces had anything to do with it.

According to the study, people who had different types of bacteria on their faces had more sebum (which is generally seen as a key indicator of skin aging) on ​​their skin, the researchers said.

However, the presence of different types of bacteria also had a positive effect, in that the skin beneath the bacteria was not deprived of moisture, and the loss of moisture made the skin appear dull.
