According to the details, on Friday, a fire broke out in a house located in Baldia Gulshan Ghazi Ehsan Mohalla Street No. 10 of Ittihad Town, which immediately engulfed the house. After the incident, the local residents started trying to control the fire with their help, during which the police also reached the spot.
SHO Ittihad Town Imtiaz Ahmed said that the fire was reported to have started due to a short circuit and when the fire broke out, two young twin brothers, one and a half year old Abbas and Jawad, and their relative Ali Nawaz, 23, who had come to their house, were killed. They got trapped inside and could not get out, as a result of which the three died due to burns and suffocation.
According to the SHO, Fahmida, the mother of the younger brothers, was slightly injured due to burns and her condition is out of danger. Due to the fire, the house and the household goods in it were completely burnt to ashes, however, the police are conducting further investigations in this regard.
Meanwhile, 12-year-old Nafisa, who was burnt due to the explosion of a gas cylinder in her house near Al-Aqsa Mosque, Lyari Khada Market, Baghdadi area, died on Friday morning in the Burns Ward of the Civil Hospital. Edhi’s volunteers shifted the dead body to Lyari Musa Lane Center for bath and shroud, while Nafeesa’s mother Hamida and father Salim were also burnt and injured in the incident, who are still undergoing treatment.
