Lahore: Pakistan Muslim League (N) chief organizer Maryam Nawaz withdrew nomination papers from two and former prime minister Shahbaz Sharif from one constituency of the National Assembly.
According to the details, the Muslim League-N directed the candidates who did not get the party ticket to withdraw their nomination papers and support the nominated candidate.
According to the instructions of the party leadership, Maryam Nawaz, chief organizer of Muslim League (N), withdrew her nomination papers from National Assembly Constituency NA 120 and PP 160, while she filed nomination papers from National Assembly Constituency NA 119 and PP 159. Elections will be contested on Nishan.
Meanwhile, Shahbaz Sharif also withdrew his papers due to the lack of seat adjustment between the Muttahida Qaumi Movement and the Muslim League (N) on National Assembly Constituency NA 242 in Karachi. The vice president of PML-N will contest the election from Lahore and Kasur on the lion sign.
According to the election schedule, the candidates can withdraw their nomination papers till 9 pm, after which the final list of candidates will be released by the Election Commission tomorrow.
