The terrorists were arrested from Peshawar in an intelligence-based operation
Peshawar: Maulana Fazlur Rehman and Amil Wali, 2 terrorists who targeted suicide attack, were arrested.
The Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) arrested 2 suicide bombers of the international terrorist organization Daesh who received training from Afghanistan in a major operation from Peshawar.
According to SSP CTD, the arrested terrorists were targeting JUI(F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman and ANP provincial president Amil Wali Khan. A suicide bomber and a facilitator were arrested in an intelligence-based operation, on whose identification 2 suicide jackets, 3 hand grenades and a pistol were recovered.
In a press conference CTD officials said that one suicide bomber was arrested from Matni Meera Peshawar, on the disclosure of which his other accomplice Tahir Khan was detained from Achini Peshawar and both were buried underground after being identified. 2 hand grenades were recovered. Apart from this, 2 Khoksh jackets have also been recovered from the border of Khyber district of Achini Peshawar.
The recovered explosives were defused by the bomb disposal unit. The arrested terrorists have admitted in the initial investigation that they targeted Maulana Fazlur Rehman and Amil Wali Khan through suicide attack. In this regard, he also conducted the Reiki of Mufti Mehmood Center.
According to CTD, the arrested terrorists are members of Daesh Khorasan and received suicide attack training from Paktia Afghanistan center.
