Peshawar: The High Court issued a notice to the Election Commission on the request of PTI for not issuing the certificate.
The PTI filed a contempt of court petition on the issue of not releasing the party certificate on the website despite the court order by the Election Commission, which was heard by a 2-member bench comprising Justice Shakeel Ahmed and Justice Waqar Ahmed of the Peshawar High Court. The bench did.
During the hearing, Qazi Anwar Advocate and Shah Faisal Ilyas Advocate appeared in the court and presented their arguments.
Later, the court issued a notice on the contempt of court petition filed by PTI against the Election Commission and asked the Election Commission for its response at the next hearing.
The court has issued a notice to the Election Commission and asked for a reply by January 16.
