Karachi: Lyari gang war started using women and children for extortion.
During the alleged encounter by the Garden Police, the arrested accused revealed that the Lyari gangs have started hiring mercenaries who are paid Rs 8,000 to 10,000 for delivering extortion slips to traders and firing.
The accused Kabir Ahmed while making important revelations during the investigation said that Lyari gang war commander Wasiullah Lakh would ask about our tricks on the phone and tell it to other operatives and then we would commit the crime together.
The accused said that he has been doing the work of giving slips and firing for the last 3 years. Women and children are used for extortion. Boys from different parts of the city used to work with us.
Malzan said that Wasiullah Lakhu’s network is operating from Iran and has more than forty operatives. Ayaz Zehri, Arslan Patni, Ahmed Ali Magsi, Faisal Pathan, Bahadur PMT and other workers work for Wasiullah Lakh in the city.
