Karachi: In a residential apartment in Khada Market, Lyari, a gas cylinder allegedly exploded with a loud bang, resulting in burn injuries to a husband and wife and a baby girl.
According to the details, a gas cylinder allegedly exploded in a flat located on the first floor of a residential apartment near Al-Aqsa Mosque, Lyari Khada Market, Baghdadi police station, which caused a fire in the flat.
As a result of the fire, 3 people including a girl and a woman in the house got burn injuries who were immediately shifted to the Burns Ward of Civil Hospital by Edhi Ambulance. Among the burn injured are 35-year-old Salim, 33-year-old wife Hamida and 12-year-old daughter Nafisa.
The SHO said that the woman was cooking food in the kitchen when gas started leaking from the gas cylinder and suddenly the gas cylinder exploded with a loud explosion, as a result of which the husband and wife and their daughter suffered burns. The explosion also damaged the flat.
