The first 3-day anti-polio campaign of this year has started today across the country.
According to the spokesperson of the Ministry of Health, additional doses of vitamin A are also being given in the anti-polio campaign.
Federal Health Minister Abdul Qadir Patel says that parents must give their children protective drops.
On this occasion, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has said that all the provincial governments along with the federal government will actively participate in the campaign to eradicate the polio virus from the country.
The Prime Minister paid tribute to the polio workers who laid down their lives in this fight against the epidemic. The Prime Minister said that their sacrifices will be remembered in achieving the goal of polio-free Pakistan.
The Prime Minister also thanked all the stakeholders, including the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and the World Health Organization, who expressed their commitment to support and cooperate with Pakistan in eradicating this disease.
