Islamabad: The Supreme Court rejected the appeal against the cancellation of Tehreek-e-Insaf’s bat symbol.
A three-member bench headed by Chief Justice Qazi Faiz Isa heard the appeal against withdrawal of PTI’s bat symbol.
Tehreek-e-Insaf withdrew the petition filed in the Supreme Court. The court dismissed the petition on grounds of withdrawal.
Hope the decision of Peshawar High Court will be in our favor
After the hearing, PTI leader Barrister Gohar while talking to the media outside the Supreme Court said that the case related to the bat sign is going on in the Peshawar High Court, so our petition in the Supreme Court had become ineffective, it is hoped that the Peshawar High Court will The decision will be in our favor.
It should be noted that due to irregularities in the intra-party elections, the Election Commission withdrew the bat sign from PTI and declared the PTI elections null and void. PTI had challenged the decision in the Supreme Court.
