Lahore: It has been decided to conduct tour guide course to 10 thousand people to promote tourism in Punjab.
Secretary Tourism Punjab Raja Jahangir Anwar says that there are more than four hundred tourist places in Punjab, so it is important to have a professional tour guide to make the experience of the tourists here memorable. Only a trained tour guide can explain these historical places in a better way.
He further said that for the first time the tour guide course will be available online from Etham with a very nominal fee. 10,000 people will be given a four-week tour guide course. Registration will be free for those appearing in the first batch.
Secretary Tourism said that candidates from all over Punjab can apply for this course for which the minimum educational qualification has been kept as intermediate while there will be no age limit. Preference will be given to women and minorities for admission.
He said that 70 percent of the course will be conducted online and 30 percent in the center of Etham Lahore. Candidates who complete the course will be eligible for a license from the Department of Tourist Services.
