Peshawar: In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the severity of the weather increased to dangerous levels, due to which 2 teachers died while on duty.
Apart from the death of 2 teachers due to severe cold in the areas of Mardan and DI Khan, the citizens started falling sick. The cold wave is intensifying in most of the plains of the province, while normal life has been paralyzed in the capital Peshawar due to cold and fog.
According to the Meteorological Department, the intensity of the weather will increase this week. The temperature recorded in Peshawar today at 5 o’clock in the morning was one degree Celsius, while there is no chance of rain this week and the dry winter will continue. As the holidays are over, children have started going to school in the worst winter.
Despite the closure of primary level schools by the provincial government in the plains of the province, primary level children of private educational institutions are also going to school, but the private schools regulatory authority failed to take necessary measures. Children going to school are getting sick in extreme cold.
