Karachi: According to the Health Department, 4 cases of a new variant of Corona (JN1) have been reported.
According to the spokesperson of the health department, the new variant is a sub-virus of Omicron, while all the infected people had mild symptoms of the new corona variant and they have recovered without any complications.
According to Health Minister Dakar Nadeem Jan, the situation is being closely monitored while Border Health Services, National and Provincial Health Authorities, Labs are fully active and alert to monitor diseases.
He said that international airports have an effective screening system at all entry and exit points, Border Health Services are implementing the recommendations of the International Health Regulations while the federal and provincial governments are fully alert.
