Karachi: The meteorological department has predicted an increase in the intensity of cold in the city of Quaid.
On Saturday, north-easterly winds prevailed in Balochistan throughout the day and the minimum mercury was recorded at 13.5 degrees. According to the Meteorological Department, the maximum wind speed was recorded at 25 km per hour.
The maximum temperature was recorded at 25.5 degree Celsius, visibility reduced from 6 km to 3 km due to light fog in the morning.
Mercury may drop by one to two degrees on Sunday. Cold weather is expected in Lower Sindh including Karachi under the recent western system entering Balochistan during January 9 and 10.
The Meteorological Department says that there is no chance of rain in the city as a result of the western system, another western system will enter the country through Balochistan during this month.
