Regarding cybercrime, security experts have warned the public that hackers or criminals can easily use anyone’s Gmail account.
A foreign news agency According to the report Security company Cloud SE has discovered a flaw in Gmail that allows hackers to access people’s Gmail accounts without a password.
Security firm CloudSec revealed that the hack involved the implementation of dangerous malware that could gain unauthorized access to user data using third-party cookies.
The flaw was first exposed by a hacker on the messaging platform Telegram in October 2023. The post described how to exploit vulnerabilities associated with cookies (which websites and browsers use to track users in order to improve their performance) to gain access to accounts.
Google authentication cookies allow users to access their account without repeatedly entering their login details. However, hackers have found a way to get these cookies to bypass the two-factor authentication step.
It should be noted that the world’s most popular web browser, Google Chrome, is currently cracking down on third-party cookies.
