Peshawar: The High Court ordered not to include the names of former PTI MLAs in Schedule IV.
Justice Waqar Ahmed of Peshawar High Court heard the petitions filed against the recommendation to include the names of former members of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf in Schedule Four, in which the court restrained the provincial government from taking action against the petitioners. Asked for an answer.
During the hearing, Syed Sikander Hayat Shah, the lawyer of the petitioner, argued that it is recommended to include the names of the former members of the assembly in schedule four. The petitioner is a former Member of Parliament and himself a victim of terrorism.
During the hearing, AAG Daniyal Chamkani told the court that the District Intelligence Coordination Committee has recommended their names to be included in the schedule, but they have not been included so far.
Later, the court restrained the provincial government from taking action against the petitioners and sought a response from the provincial government by January 23.
It should be noted that the names of former Speaker Asad Qaiser, former members Amjad Ali, Gul Zafar, Iftikhar Mashwani, Mian Sharaf Ali, Abdul Salam, Zahir Shah, Fazal Hakeem and other members have been recommended to be included in Schedule Four.
