As a result of the fire that mysteriously broke out in the jhagis under the bridge in Tin Hatti area of ​​Karachi, about 60 jhagis and the goods kept in them were destroyed.

According to the fire brigade officials, the fire was reported at around 6 pm in the three huts under the Hatti bridge and fire tenders were immediately dispatched and the fire was brought under control after a two-hour fight.

A heavy contingent of police and rangers also reached the spot and cordoned off the said spot where more than 200 tents are set up and took part in rescue operations while the fire brigade personnel called more fire tenders from other fire stations to see the intensity of the fire. Summoned.

According to fire brigade officials, a total of 9 fire tenders were deployed to douse the fire.

Residents of the slums present on the spot alleged that the fire was deliberately set and there have been several incidents of fires in slums before.

The fire brigade officials said that the cause of the fire and the number of burnt jhagis could not be immediately estimated, however, SHO Supermarket Aslam Bhatti said that there are more than 200 jhagis at the said place, but the fire As a result, about 60 jhuggis and the household and other goods kept in them were burnt to ashes.

According to the authorities, the fire brigade personnel stopped the fire from spreading further and saved other houses from burning.
